I'm John Hart, your State Capitol neighborhood reporter.
Born and raised in Kalamazoo, I spent years developing my passion for storytelling, community, and being in-front and behind the camera.
I graduated from Michigan State University in 2023 with degrees in both Media & Information, and Public Relations, with a minor in Entrepreneurship & Innovation. In my time at MSU, I fell in love with the Lansing community, working directly with multiple student start-ups and local businesses. After five years of practicing my passions, I started my broadcasting journey at FOX47 as a producer for the morning show.
With an avid interest in state politics, I joined the State Capitol neighborhood as a multimedia journalist, diving head-first into all things legislative. I am honored to be reporting the facts for Mid-Michigan!
