Fall may be around the corner, but Quality Dairy is celebrating the dog days of summer with its first #QDDogDays contest, benefitting the Capital Area Humane Society! QD fans can post a picture of their pup posing with a favorite flavor of QD’s locally-made ice cream for the chance to win bragging rights and a $25 Quality Dairy gift card. The winning dog will be the poster pup for ice cream in every Quality Dairy location. Plus, Quality Dairy will donate $500 to the Capital Area Humane Society in the winner’s name.
"It’s no secret we’re ice cream hounds at QD, especially during our beautiful Michigan summers," says Ken Martin, Quality Dairy President. “The only thing that brings me more joy than QD ice cream is my family - and that includes my dog, Sophie. We’re excited to share that love with our greater QD family, and have a little fun along the way.”
Now through August 31, anyone can like the QD Facebook page or follow the QD Instagram page and post a picture of their dog, posing with a favorite QD ice cream in its package, tagging the photo with #QDDogDays. A winner will be randomly selected after Labor Day.
"We have a soft spot for all our furry friends here at QD, and that’s why, in addition to our winner’s prize, we’re excited to donate to the Capital Area Humane Society,” adds Thomas Buschert, Quality Dairy CEO.
Quality Dairy recently redesigned its ice cream packaging, featuring a brightly colored background to highlight favorite flavors like Death by Chocolate, Caramel Cashew and Mint Chocolate Chip. QD sells more than 230,000 packages of ice cream per year, and upwards of 590,000 scoops, with Death By Chocolate, Vanilla and French Vanilla being the top flavors.
