LANSING, Mich. — It was another HOT day across Mid-Michigan with temps soaring through the 80s under the influence of mostly sunny skies. Looks like we will stay mostly clear tonight with temps struggling to fall off too much, only getting into the mid to upper 60s.

Tomorrow looks like another great day featuring a mix of sun and clouds and a slight chance for a pop up thunderstorm in the afternoon. Better chance for storms will come Monday night into Tuesday morning as convection flares up over Minnesota/Wisconsin sending a cluster of storms towards the region. As these pass through Tuesday morning, some could be a bit strong with gusty winds and hail a threat. The remainder of Tuesday will be nice though with a good deal of sunshine.

We stay hot and mostly sunny Wednesday and Thursday as the tropical remnants of Laura lift our way. These could interact with a frontal boundary by Friday bringing a soaking (and much needed) rain to our region. Next weekend looks significantly cooler with plenty of sun.
