Snow Tonight, Cold Tomorrow & Friday

LANSING, Mich. — Snow moves in tonight and could be heavy at times. It continues through daybreak Thursday and even for the first half of the day Thursday. We should see more dry time later Thursday. By the time the snow wraps up, most of us look to see 2 to 3 inches of new snow, but areas northwest of Lansing may only get around 1 inch, and areas southeast of Jackson could see closer to 4 inches. Your morning commute Thursday is likely to be slow. Following the snow the story is the cold. Highs Thursday will be in the upper 20s at around midnight, but most of the day will be spent in the upper teens and lower 20s. Wind chills will likely be in single digits most of Thursday. Friday it's even colder with temperatures in the morning just above zero, and highs in the upper teens. However with a gusty wind, wind chills early on will be below zero and will be in single digits during the afternoon.
