LANSING, Mich. — Some breaks in the clouds are expected tonight as temperatures drop to near 20 degrees. We get back into the mid-30s Wednesday afternoon, and after some sun early on the clouds will thicken back up. In the evening snow moves in from the south and will add up overnight. A cold front moving in from the west will also bring snow through Thursday. When all is said and done Thursday evening most of us pick up around 2 to 3 inches of snow, with higher amounts southeast of Jackson. Lesser amounts can be expected northwest of Lansing. Following the snow, the big story is the cold. Friday we wake up in lower single digits and it will feel well below zero. With gusty winds Friday it'll feel like single digits but highs will reach the upper teens.
