LANSING, Mich. — Skies remain clear for much of Sunday night with some clouds returning to the forecast late. Temperatures will rise into the upper 50s on Monday before cloud cover dominates the skies in the late afternoon, with some spots topping out around 60.
The chilliest weather of the season will arrive by the middle of the week with highs only making it into the 40s from Wednesday onward for the remainder of the week. Rain is likely Wednesday afternoon with spotty showers continuing into Halloween, so the kids might want to have plenty of layers on underneath the costumes for Trick or Treating.
Friday is the first day of November, and it's looking more and more likely that we may see our first snowflakes of the season (mixing in with some rain). None of any falling snow will stick since ground temperatures are still too warm for snow to accumulate, but it seems the air will be cold enough to see a few flakes.
