Impactful Winter Storm this Weekend

Posted
and last updated

LANSING, Mich. — Mostly cloudy skies are expected tonight with cold air moving in. Temperatures overnight drop into the 20s. We'll be around the middle 20s by daybreak Thursday. Most of the day will stay cold with temperatures in the 20s, but the high Thursday will be in the lower 30s. That will be shortly after midnight. A few lingering flurries are possible mainly early Thursday, but the more impactful snow comes this weekend. Overnight Friday into Saturday snow returns. This will add up and will likely lead to rough travel on area roads. Some rain is likely to mix in Saturday during the afternoon. Lingering snow is also likely Sunday. It's a little too far out to pinpoint exactly how much snow we'll get, but it's looking highly likely that this snow will need to be shoveled.
