The force is coming to Detroit when a traveling "Star Wars" costume exhibit rolls into the Detroit Institute of Arts this spring.
Tickets for "Star Wars and the Power of Costume" go on sale to the public on Sunday, April 1. The exhibition runs from May 20-Sept. 30.
It will feature more than 60 original costumes from the film, including Darth Vader, Chewbacca, X-wing pilots, Rey, C-3PO, R2-D2 and more.
"This exhibition goes beyond the chronological, literary, or filmic order often used to chronicle Star Wars™. It focuses instead on the creative process, encompassing the essence of George Lucas’ vision and the exciting challenge of translating his iconic characters into a dynamic reality," the event page said.
Tickets for adults are $19 for Tuesday-Thursday and $24 for adults Friday-Sunday. DIA members can get tickets right now, and receive free admission. Residents of Wayne, Oakland and Macomb counties receive a $5 discount on the ticket. Kids age 6-17 tickets are just $7.
The DIA says tickets will sell out with time slots, so be sure to purchase your tickets in advance by clicking here or by calling 313-833-4005.
