Police: 'Angry' IT tech allegedly sends email accusing Michigan superintendent of criminal act

An IT technician at an elementary school in Hillman allegedly sent an incriminating email about the superintendent.

A school employee at Hillman Elementary School reported receiving an email accusing the school superintendent of a criminal act. The sender of the email had not identified themselves, so work began to identify the potential victim.

The trooper found evidence that the email had actually allegedly been sent by an angry IT technician employed by the school. The trooper found no evidence that the superintendent was responsible for any wrongdoing. In fact, the investigation revealed that the superintendent was the victim of a criminal act.

Lee Adam Rasmussen, 32, of Alpena, was arrested and charged with Using a Computer to Commit a Crime, two counts of False Report of a Felony and Criminal Slander.
