UPDATE: 21-year-old woman shot in Lansing is stable

UPDATE: A Lansing woman is in the hospital after being shot in Lansing. The shooting happened after 11 p.m. outside a house on West Saginaw near Pine street.

The victim was able to make it out of the home and across the street to a nearby gas station to ask for help. Lansing police say the 21-year-old victim is in stable condition.

Police say the shooting was not random.

No arrest has been made. Police continue to investigate.

ORIGINAL: A woman was shot in north Lansing overnight. It happened just after 11 p.m. Thursday night inside a house on West Saginaw near Pine Street.

Police say the woman ran to the Marathon gas station after getting shot, to get help. 

She was taken to a local hospital and is now in stable condition. 

Officers tried a K-9 unit to track the suspect but were not successful. 

Police say the shooting was not random. If you have any information, please call the Lansing Police Department.
