LANSING, Mich. — Just days before Memorial Day, a local cemetery is now full on American flags.
Members of VFW Post 701 placed American flags throughout Deepdale Memorial Gardens located on Old Lansing Road.
The VFW group began placing flags at 9 a.m. Thursday and were joined by the Waverly Junior Warriors baseball team to finish out the job.
Organizers said events like this are all about honoring those who gave their lives for our freedom, and the VFW Post 701 has been a long time supporter of the Waverly Baseball Club.
Organizer's said event's like this one are a rewarding experience for everyone.
