Congressman Tim Walberg (MI-07) is hosting a 'Veterans Resources Fair' in Jackson Monday.
The fair will provide the resources necessary for veterans to file VA benefit claims.
Multiple representatives from the veterans agencies will be on hand like the Community Action Agency, Jackson County Veterans Affairs Office, VA Ann Arbor Healthcare System, and Veterans Benefits Administration.
They will provide help to veterans and their families. Some of the benefits and services provided at the fair are listed below:
- Free oral cancer screenings
- eBenefits Registration
- Homeless veterans services
- Employment services
- File or check status of VA claim
- Healthcare benefits and enrollment
- Financial assistance
- Veteran peer support
If you plan to go, Veterans should bring a copy of their DD214.
"Our veterans sacrificed so much for the freedoms we enjoy today and we have an obligation to provide the best quality health care when they return home. My office and I are here to help veterans navigate the VA and get access to the benefits and resources they deserve through their brave service to our country," said Congressman Walberg.
The Veterans Resource Fair is Monday, November 6 from 9:00 AM - 1:00 PM at the Jackson County Veterans Affairs Office at 1715 Lansing Avenue in Jackson.
