JACKSON, Mich. — A 25-year-old man was shot in the stomach early Tuesday morning, June 11.

The suspect in the shooting, Jacob Joseph Fuller, 28 or Jackson, is in Jackson County Jail.

Michigan State Police say the shooting happened at about 4:30 a.m. in the 5000 block of Welch Lake Road in Jackson County's Waterloo Township.

The victim was taken to Henry Ford Allegiance Health Hospital with life-threatening injuries and is listed in critical condition.

Officers from Blackman-Leoni Township Public Safety and the Jackson County Sheriff's Department located the suspect's vehicle in the 3000 block of Seymour Road.

The Michigan State Police Emergency Support Team took Fuller into custody without incident.

He is in jail on multiple felony charges.
