Suspect arrested after stealing school bus from Jackson County district

JACKSON, Mich. (WSYM) - A suspect has been arrested after stealing a school bus from a Jackson County district.

City of Jackson Police received a call at approximately 2 p.m. Sunday from a resident who spotted a school bus in the city.

Officers were able to pull the bus over at the intersection of Francis and Mitchell street where the driver was arrested without incident.

The driver of the school bus is not being identified at this time.

The school bus was stolen from Northwest Community Schools.

No damage was done to the bus.

Jackson Police continue to investigate the incident and will release more information.
