OKEMOS, Mich. — Some students will get a first-hand experience on the dangers of distracted driving.

They'll be testing out a distracted driving simulator Monday at Okemos High School.

The simulator is part of a partnership between Feldman Automotive and The Peers Foundation.

It lets students be in realistic scenarios in which they face distractions while behind the wheel like taking phone calls, checking text messages, and social media.

The simulator event begins at 8:00 a.m. and runs until 2:00 p.m.
