SOLON TWP, Mich. — Just months before she and her three children were found shot to death, a social worker filed paperwork to have 28-year-old Aubrianne Moore committed to a psychiatric hospital.

Moore's body was found Monday at her boyfriend's home in Kent County's Solon Township.

Investigators found a second crime scene nearby on Tuesday, where Moore's daughters, 2-year-old Alania, 6-year-old Cassidy and 8-year-old Kyrie were killed.

Family members say Moore killed the girls before taking her own life.

News 10 has since learned that Moore was hospitalized in Greenville last September.

During that time, a social worker filed a petition with the court to have Moore placed in a mental institution.

It's not clear why Moore was being treated at that time.

Family members also tell WOOD-TV that efforts were being made to remove the children from Moore's custody.

Family members have identified the four bodies found in northern Kent County Monday afternoon.

The Kent County Sheriff's Office said the victims were a woman and three children. Family members identify the woman as 28-year-old Aubrienne Moore and her three daughters, aged 8, 6 and 2 years old.

Investigators say evidence at the scene suggests some of the children and the woman might have been killed somewhere else.

Police and volunteers spent Tuesday searching for a second crime scene near the home.

"It's a very meticulous process. It will be quite some time before we have some updates. There's obviously going to be a medical examiner involved and doing an autopsy. We expect additional information on identification will come after that," said Kent County Sheriff Michelle LaJoye-Young.

The sheriff's office is not confirming the identities of the victims until the autopsies are completed.

Detectives hope anyone who lives in the area can help by turning over home security surveillance video.

Three children and a woman were shot to death in northern Kent County Monday afternoon.

The four bodies were found at a home northeast of Kent City, Sheriff Michelle LaJoye-Young said.

Authorities are working to identify the bodies and haven't confirmed the relationship between the four.

"Very sad. Very, very sad," LaJoye-Young said. "It's been very difficult for our investigators and for the community as well."

The sheriff's department said the children were elementary school-aged and younger.

The victims' names will be released after the autopsies, according to a news story from WOOD.

The sheriff said investigation of the property seems to indicate another crime scene where some of the victims might have been killed. They are unsure as to the location of that second crime scene at this time, according to WOOD.

She said there is no threat to the public and authorities do not believe a shooter is on the loose.

The sheriff's office is requesting submission of surveillance cameras that are pointed at the road to help investigators track traffic around the property.
