Scientists believe they've found a new organ

Scientists say they've discovered a newly identified organ in the human body, and it may help explain how cancer spreads.

It's called the interstitum. It's a network of tissues, below the skin's surface that containes fluid-filled structures.

It surrounds and protects the digestive, respiratory and urinary systems.

Scientists are now working to find out if analyzing the fluid in these newly-discovered channels can lead to earlier diagnoses of cancer.
