Reich says he is honored to be re-elected.
The Eaton County Sheriff's race was a highly contested one.
Each candidate faced their own problems - Reich campaigning while going through a very public divorce, which included a request for a personal protection order by his wife and McPhail's son is facing a first degree criminal sexual conduct charge, accused of recording a sex act with someone under the age of 13.
We spoke to the candidates on election night - both remained positive throughout the race.
