LANSING, Mich. — The owner of Mr. Taco in south Lansing told Fox 47 the individual who vandalized his restaurant has been arrested.
Lansing Police confirmed to Fox 47 the 49-year-old Lansing man has been arrested and is expected to be arraigned Wednesday.
"I want to personally thank everyone that helped, tried to help, even thought of helping, and who sent support via Facebook to my family and I," Bill Bonofiglo said in a post in a Mr. Taco Facebook page.
The incident happened just before 2 a.m. Saturday.
Lansing Police said officers were dispatched to the business, located at 3122 S. Martin L. King, on a Malicious Destruction of Property complaint.
Police said officers made contact with Bonofiglo who told officers his business was damaged in the early morning hours. Police said Bonofigilo showed officers several broken/smashed windows on the south side of the business.
Police said officers and Bonofiglo reviewed surveillance video, which shows a man picking up landscape rocks and throwing them through several windows to the restaurant.
Police said a suspect is described as a white man with facial hair, a thin build, wearing a zip-up hooded sweatshirt.
Bonfiglio said the drive-thru window was repaired Tuesday and the restaurant is set to reopen Wednesday from 11 to 4 p.m.
