Drugs are believed to be a factor in a collision between an Amtrak train and a truck that left three people injured, police said.
The crash happened around 8:40 p.m. Saturday on Vermontville Highway, west of downtown Potterville.
Police believe the traffic crossing signals were functioning at the time and the truck driver drove around the gates onto the tracks.
The Potterville Police Department says the driver of the truck is a 44-year-old Detroit woman. The driver and her passenger sustained injuries in the collision that are not considered life-threatening, police said.
The Potterville Police Department says a teenager on a bicycle, who had been waiting to cross the train tracks was also injured. The bicyclist's injuries were not life-threatening, police said.
The collision knocked out power to most of the Potterville area. According to Consumers Energy, power had been fully restored as of Sunday morning.
