LANSING, Mich. — Several deputies in northern Michigan responded to a desperate call earlier this week --they ended up making a special delivery, a baby.
Baby Jackson was born on the side of the road in Crawford County. His mom and dad were trying to get to the hospital when their car overheated and stalled, leaving them stranded.
Crawford County deputies came to the rescue, helping Jackson enter into the world.
"Our guys we got together. And you know, you know, we told each other good job because we worked at this together. It was a team and it was, you know, it was pretty emotional for all of us being a part of, you know, a life coming into this world," Sgt. Ryan Finstrom, with the Crawford County Sheriff's Office, said.
Paramedics arrived shortly after the birth, taking Jackson and his mother to a local hospital.
