LANSING, Mich. — There's a new program to encourage voters to learn more about elections.
On Thursday, Ingham County Clerk Barb Byrum announced the Citizens Election Administration Academy. She says it's all about increasing understanding and confidence in local elections.
The five-month program begins next month and meets monthly.
Several topics will be covered including poll worker responsibilities, ballot design, computer programming, and election certification.
The county encourages anyone to enroll from voters to elected office holders.
