WASHINGTON DC — As the shutdown stalemate continues, Democratic Michigan Representative Dan Kildee is speaking out about the President.
Rep. Kildee represents Flint and the Saginaw Bay area says the President's proposed border wall doesn't actually solve any border-related issues. "When the President talks about the threat that illicit drugs places on our society, we are right there with him. We just want to solve the problem, not just allow him to spend almost six billion dollars of federal money to keep a promise that was really a chant at a rally. That's not any way to secure our border."
Wednesday was the 19th day of the government shutdown. If it continues into Saturday, it will be the longest in U.S. history.
