A Lansing Police Officer is recovering after a car accident in Lansing Township Tuesday night.
It happened around 8 p.m at the intersection of Kalamazoo and Howard Streets. Lansing Township Police Chief Adam Kline says a car going south on Howard ran a red light and collided with the patrol car, which was heading west on Kalamazoo.
The officer and the driver of the car that ran the red light were taken to the hospital with minor injuries.
Kline says the driver who ran the red light was deemed at fault, but was not given a ticket.
