Lansing man treated for life threatening injuries after rollover accident

Police say a Lansing man is being treated for life threatening injuries after a rollover accident on Ionia Road near Follett Hwy.

The 31-year-old Lansing man was driving a 2000 Ford Expedition southbound on Ionia when it ran off the road, rolled over and struck a tree.

The Eaton County Sheriff's Office, The Michigan State Police and Bellevue Area Fire Department responded to the accident at 12:54 p.m.

The driver was trapped in the vehicle and had to be extricated by the Fire Department. He was air lifted by West Michigan Air Care to a Lansing hospital for treatment.

The accident is under investigation by the Eaton County Sheriff's Office.
