A local police dog now has an extra line of protection. The Eaton County Sheriff's Office received these extensive trauma kits or 'buddy bags' on Monday.
They have emergency first aid items for deputy Aaron Campbell to use in case his dog Cash ever gets hurt on the job.
He'll get training from the Michigan State University Veterinary Clinic so he can keep Cash alive until he can get him to a doctor.
A group called Back the Badge Michigan raised money for the kit.
