The City of Jackson will honor the 12 Virginia Beach city employees killed in a mass shooting.
The city is inviting all city employees to Bucky Harris Park across from City Hall at noon on Thursday, June 6 for a special commemoration for the victims.
The Jackson Police Department Honor Guard will be putting on a presentation, and Mayor Derek Dobies will speak.
A moment of silence is scheduled.
Information will be available on ways you can help people impacted by the attack as well.
The City of Virginia Beach will hold a remembrance ceremony later Thursday night.
