LANSING, Mich. — As snow plows clear the snowfall from this week, it's a good time for Lansing residents to remember to not park on the street.
It's an inconvenience for plow drivers, but also, as the snow piles up on the side of the road, your car is likely to get plowed in.
Lansing residents should also keep in mind that a city ordinance bans on-street parking from 2 a.m. to 5 a.m. during snowy conditions.
Another Lansing ordinance requires homeowners to shovel their sidewalks within 24 hours after snowfall has ended. Jackson has the same ordinance, but specifically requires that sidewalks be cleared to a minimum of 36 inches in width.
