House fire closes part of Martin Luther King, Jr. Blvd. in Lansing

UPDATE - 12:25 PM

Matthew Jenkins, Assistant Fire Chief for the city of Lansing tells us the fire is currently under investigation, but firefighters don't believe anyone is currently living at the home.

No one was hurt as a result of the fire. Firefighters from the City of Lansing, and Lansing Township responded. The road will be opened later this afternoon.

Part of southbound Martin Luther King, Jr. Boulevard in Lansing is closed because of a house fire.

Lansing firefighters have it shut down between Michigan Avenue and Allegan Street.

A large ladder truck and other fire vehicles are parked in the road while crews work on the two-story house.

Flames and smoke can be seen coming from the windows.
