The Government says millions of potentially dangerous Takata air bags are still in use, and putting drivers and passengers at risk.
Carmakers are using measures like social media, texting, and even visiting people's homes to get the word out.
The recall has tripled in size over the last year, impacting some 37 million cars in the U.S.
At least 22 people have been killed.
