CHARLOTTE, Mich. — There is an event going on to help get kids ready for back to school.
School age kids that qualify to take part will receive new shoes, school supplies, personal care items, and undergarments.
All children getting shoes need to be clean and wearing socks for safety reasons.
If you want to participate, you need to make sure your children are qualified prior to the event.
This is being put on by Eaton Clothing and Furniture Center.
The qualifications to take part are:
Children receive free or reduced price lunches at school.
The family currently shops at Eaton Clothing and Furniture Center with DHHS or SSI benefits.
Was the family referred by any of the following groups that serve Barry and Eaton County:
Helping Hands - Charlotte, Heart In Hands - Eaton Rapids, Siren, Housing Services
Be prepared to show proof or any documents you might have that show you are a participant or will be signed up in the above programs.

Wednesday August 7, NOON - 6 p.m. for SPECIAL NEEDS CHILDREN ONLY
Thursday & Friday AUGUST 8 & 9 - 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Saturday August 10, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Monday & Tuesday August 12 & 13, 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
