It's Easter weekend and there's a lot of events for the whole family happening around mid-Michigan.
One of the biggest is on the lawn of the State Capitol on Saturday morning where hundreds of kids will scoop up eggs. The Lansing Jaycees host the free event which starts at 10 a.m. There will be face painting, crafts, raffles and other activities in addition to the egg hunt. And photo opps with the Easter Bunny.
There's also a Bunny Hop 5k taking pace on MSU's campus starting at 9:30 Saturday morning.
An Easter egg hunt is planned from 10 to noon on campus at Jackson College.
Holt will have an Easter egg hunt at Valhalla Park in Holt starting at one o'clock -- Guests are also invited to wear their best Easter bonnet and enter the Bonnet Contest.
And the Ingham County Animal Shelter is hosting a Doggie Easter Egg Hunt and Eggstravaganza at Hawk Island Park starting at 2:30.
