LANSING, Mich. — The city of Lansing announced on Friday all the streets that will be closed to accommodate the gubernatorial inauguration on Tuesday.

Essentially the entire perimeter of the Capitol building will be closed during the event, with most closures extending out a few blocks.

Streets will be closed from 6:30 a.m. Tuesday until the inauguration events end.

As for the inauguration itself, ceremonies begin at 10:30 a.m. in front of the Capitol steps.

The theme is building bridges, as Democrat Gretchen Whitmer promised on the campaign trail to work with a diverse group of stakeholders.

Her inauguration is free and open to the public.

If you plan to attend, gather on the east lawn of the Capitol.
