The misconduct case against Livingston County Judge Theresa Brennan is moving forward.
An official overseeing disciplinary proceedings against her denied several motions in the case Wednesday.
Brennan is accused of having an affair with a Michigan State Police lieutenant who was lead detective on a 2013 homicide case in her courtroom. She's also accused of using her court staff for personal business. The Michigan Attorney General's Office is investigating Brennan.
Judge Brennan is scheduled to go before the full Judicial Tenure Commission on Oct. 1.
