April 2 is 'World Autism Awareness Day'

LANSING, Mich. — April 2 is ‘World Autism Awareness Day,’ a day designed to increase the understanding and acceptance of a condition that affects many people.

Thousands of landmarks, buildings, homes and communities around the world will ‘Light Up Blue’ in recognition of people living with autism.

There will also be several events in Michigan and other places throughout the entire month of April, which is National Autism Awareness Month.
