LIVINGSTON CO., MIch. — A suspended Livingston County judge wants Michigan's Supreme Court to reject an effort to remove her for misconduct.

Michigan's Judicial Tenure Commission found Judge Theresa Brennan tampered with evidence in her own divorce case, lied under oath, and failed to disclose her relationship with a detective who was a witness during a trial before her.

The agency wants her removed and wants her to pay $35,000 in costs and fees.

Brennan claims the findings are "erroneous."

She's been barred from hearing cases for almost a year, but still receives her pay and benefits.
