During 2018, the three Detroit casinos reported a record-breaking $1.44 billion in annual revenue, according to the Michigan Gaming Control Board.
The record was $20 million higher than the $1.42 billion previous annual record set in 2011.
MGM Grand Detroit reported $619.2 million in annual revenue, passing its previous record of $604.9 million set in 2012. MotorCity Casino also had an annual revenue record with $489.7 million, beating it 2007 record of $480.2 million. Lastly, Greektown's 2018 earnings totaled $335.2 million, falling short of its 2011 record of $352.8 million.
The casinos reported a 3.1 percent increase in earnings in revenue from 2017. Slot machines collected $1.17 billion, while table games brought in $272 million.
