LANSING, Mich. — Serving beer and other beverages with a twist is a specialty for Dime’s Brewhouse. The Dimondale brewery has made it their mission to be unique when it comes to flavors.

Chad Rogers, co-owner and head brewer, started making exotic combinations from his own home, having friends taste and give their opinions.

Now, those unique flavors have made a home in his brewhouse.

“The Puff 'N Stuff, which is our peanut butter stout ,we just wanted to do something we hadn’t done before. So that’s made with Reese's Puff cereal. We added lactose to it, peanut butter powder and that kinda gave it some peanut butter flavor,” says Rogers.

Peanut butter isn’t the only exotic flavor. They've also taken cues from baked goods. Rogers says the idea for a blueberry and peach-flavored beer was inspired by a close friend who makes amazing blueberry and peach cobbler.

When creating something new, he said, it’s important to pay attention to the customers and the seasons.

“For the beers, like if it’s summertime, people are kind wanting fruit and lighter beers, then we’ll make something fruity like that. If it's the wintertime people want darker heavier beers.”

The Brewhouse has crafted creative beer, ciders, wine and kombucha for nearly three years.

Rogers says they make it their mission to create something for everyone to enjoy.
