WATCH LIVE HERE AT 10:30

On Tuesday, Whitmer signed an executive directive that will direct state departments and agency heads to ensure that enforcement of COVID-19 laws is a priority.

The governor's office says cases have risen over the past month and without effective enforcement, Michigan will move backwards.

On Tuesday, Michigan confirmed 664 new cases of COVID-19 and eight deaths.

Cases are continuing to rise in Michigan and across the country, especially among young people. In the past three weeks, cases among the ages of 0-19 have nearly doubled.
