Detroit police say that a trailer and boat stolen from a Tennessee family who are in Michigan for a fishing tournament were found early Wednesday morning.

According to police, there was damage to the boat's controls and also the outboard motor was taken. The pickup truck that was stolen along with the boat and trailer are still missing.

On Monday, June 25, police say a suspect entered the parking lot at Days Inn, 31327 Gratiot, around 1:30 a.m.

He approached the vehicles on foot a couple of times before another suspect arrived. They both entered the truck and drove off, heading north on Gratiot, police say.

Derrick Blake, the owner of the SUV and boat that were stolen, said that the suspects also got away with his gear and even his kids' car seats and other belongings. The total loss is roughly $100,000, he said.

Fortunately, people in the fishing tournament have banded together to help so that Blake can continue in the competition.

The suspects got away with a 2005 black Chevrolet Suburban with Tennessee license plate 7K34M1.
