JACKSON, Mich. — Matt Prysiazny, who served as FOX 47's Jackson neighborhood reporter, has signed off from the station after more than a year covering Jackson County.
Prysiazny, a Jackson native, said covering his hometown through the lens of a news reporter was an honor.
"Being able to tell the story of the community that raised me has been an honor, and I consider myself the luckiest reporter in the world," Prysiazny said in his farewell segment.
A year covering Jackson County
During his tenure, Prysiazny said he worked to cover stories across Jackson County — from breaking news to community features — and at times drew on his personal roots in the area.
"To all of you, I want to say thank you," he said. "Thank you FOX 47, thank you Jackson, and thank you Mid-Michigan, for allowing me to be your Jackson neighborhood reporter."
His final sign-off aired on FOX 47.
