HOWELL, Mich. — Thousands of Michigan high school students will join Governor Gretchen Whitmer in Howell Wednesday to celebrate skilled trade-workers.
The two-day event teaches people about careers in skilled trades and the state's need for workers in the field.
The event is open to all students from 7th-12th grade. It will feature education, hands-on activities, computer simulations, equipment demonstrations and handling, and information booths.
Michigan Construction Career Days is happening at Operating Engineers 324 Construction Career Center in Howell from 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. May 1-2.
