A new survey found that Americans are more likely to skip needed dental care than any other type of health care due to the cost.

Researchers say nearly one in four lower income adults didn't get needed dental care because of costs - while only five-percent of adults in the highest income category avoided the dentist due to the money.

Researchers also say the study highlights the financial burdens people encounter paying for dental care, but it does not prove financial barriers are the sole reason people skip needed care.
