Morgan Scarbro juggles school and travelling the country for pageants -- and still has time to collect brand-new donations for those in need.
Her work has inspired many of her friends and community to follow in her path.
And it's a job she started a long time ago.

At just 3 years old, Morgan scarbro wasn't playing with toys ....she was collecting them
her work started at her beauty pagents where her heart grew a little bigger
she didn't do it for the trophies....she seeks donations from her fellow competitors

"We challenge them to bring in donations and see who can bring in the most and reward the top two winners" Morgan Scarbro said.

At five years old she founded "Morgans HUGS",
Nearly 600 people follow the facebook page she created for the charity.
Now Morgan is thirteen years old, and is the definition of selfless.

"There are people less fortunate then I am and are starving, and just don't have the basic things they need to survive" Morgan said.

Patti Christmas, a local resident, follows the page, and now embroders shirts for morgan's hugs

"I truly believe in Morgan's cause, she actually got my attention when she works with the veterans because they are the unforgotten" Christmas said.

Morgan's father is a disabled veteran and knowing many vets don't get enough credit for their sacrifices is what motivates her.

"Getting all the veterans and they're families the supplies they need" Morgan said.

Eaton Rapids public school homeless coordinator Kelly Ballor says she utilizes Morgans HUGS to help students get them the supplies they need like gym shoes so they can participate in class.

"I don't ever hesitate to contact Morgan's mom Deb, or Patti Chritsmas, to make sure that they can get us the resources we need" said Ballor.

Morgan hopes she can motivate others to stop and help when they see someone in need.

"More people giving stuff because I'll just see people walk by and see someone with a blanket. and no leg" Morgan said.
