Life as a Zebra Foundation is proud to announce that their 5th Annual Benefit Concert will take place Saturday, April 16th from 6pm-11pm at the Kellogg Center in Lansing, Michigan and will feature singer- songwriter, Chris Trapper from The Push Stars and motivational speaker and author, Lisa Gigliotti. Lansing radio personality, Deb Hart, will be hosting the event.

The evening will include a gala with a silent auction and hosted beer, wine, and hors d'oeuvres. The gala will be immediately followed by the concert. All ages are welcome.

Tickets are available online at www.ZebraNation.org or at the Greater Lansing Convention and Visitors Bureau. Tickets are $40 before March 6th and $50 after.

Last year, through the generosity of its donors and attendees, the Life as a Zebra Foundation was able to raise $10,000 to directly support the groundbreaking research on Dysautonomia being led by Dr. Blair Grubb at the University of Toledo Medical Center. For the 2016 event, the foundation has made it one of their goals to surpass last year’s grant.

Additional proceeds raised at this year’s benefit will support Life as a Zebra Foundation’s projects and initiatives to educate, provide awareness, and support other research for various invisible illnesses.

“The annual benefit is the cornerstone of our fundraising and awareness efforts,” said Katie Dama Jaskolski, President and Co-Founder of the Life as a Zebra Foundation. “We are excited to continue our partnership with the University of Toledo to support invisible illness research and are thrilled to have Chris perform and Lisa speak at our event. Chris and Lisa both supported us at our very first benefit concert five years ago. It is a joy and an honor to have them back for this major milestone.”

96% of people with chronic medical conditions live with a condition that is invisible. Invisible illnesses are chronic conditions that are not easily observed by the general public, and are often not readily seen by medical professionals. Invisible illnesses include lupus, fibromyalgia, interstitial cystitis, rheumatoid arthritis, vasculitis, Crohn’s disease, and Ehlers-Danlos syndrome, among others.
