Former green party presidential candidate Jill Stein is expected to formally request a recount by the end of the day of the presidential race in Michigan.
The actual counting could begin Sunday in Ingham County.
The state republican party says Ingham County workers will be trained on Saturday and will start counting the next day.
The party is representing Donald Trump during the re-count process.
It will have seven days to file an objection to the process.
