DEWITT TWP., Mich. (WSYM) - A DeWitt Township family's home was destroyed by a fire early Sunday morning.
The fire started around 3 a.m. at the home in the 1300 block of Valley View Road. It took multiple fire departments hours to put the flames out. Firefighters says it was a gas fire, but they're still trying to determine the cause.
The family was able to make it out safely, but at least one firefighter was taken to the hospital.
