Yoga may lower blood pressure

If you're looking to lower your blood pressure, you may want to try yoga.

Researchers in India asked patients with slightly elevated blood pressure to do an hour of Hatha yoga a day, along with diet and other lifestyle changes.

They found that patients who completed the program saw their diastolic blood pressure drop by an average of five points, compared to patients treated with lifestyle changes alone.

The drop is promising because just a two point decrease in blood pressure can lower the risk of stroke by 15-percent.
