Most women do not know when they need to begin regular heart screenings.
A new survey found 60-percent of women think heart screenings should start after the age of 30, but the American Heart Association says testing needs to begin at the age of 20.
That's because women can begin developing plaque in their arteries in their teens and early 20s.
Experts say in addition to heart screenings, a healthy diet and regular exercise are also important.
