There are some illnesses that are so severe, that keeping kids home sick from school is a no-brainer.
But some symptoms have parents questioning whether to send them to class with extra tissues or let them take a sick day.
Researchers surveyed 1,400 parents and most said they'd keep their kids home if they had diarrhea or vomiting, but if they simply have a cough and a runny nose, they'd send them to school.
Schools also have sickness rules, but experts say if kids have the sniffles and are eating and playing normally, they should attend class.
But if they have trouble breathing or have extreme fatigue, they should take a sick day and you should call a doctor.
